Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company policy is to manage all operations in a manner that offers consistent, effective protection to every employee, customer, contractor, the public, and the environment. Right-to-Know.

You have a right to know what chemicals are present in the workplace and whether they present a potential hazard. To help you identify the chemicals in your area and the proper methods of using them, Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company conducts annual Hazard Communication training for its employees. This training is also provided to new employees when they are hired.

Substance Abuse

It is the policy of Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company to provide a workplace free of substance abuse, to educate employees of the dangers of substance abuse, and to take reasonable measures to ensure employee substance use does not jeopardize the success of Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company, nor affect its employees or customers, their safety or welfare.

The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substance is prohibited in the workplace. Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company prohibits the possession or consumption of alcohol or a controlled substance while at work or on Corporation property, or job sites, or equipment, or vehicles and requires all employees to be free from the effects of alcohol, a controlled substance, or abuse of any drug at all times while at work.

Lockout/Tagout

Reynolds Asphalt & Construction Company is in the business of manufacturing and distributing heated asphalt mix (sometimes known as hot mix). Reynolds Asphalt & Construction Company also is in the business of excavating and moving earth. To effectively conduct our business and meet our customers’ expectations, there are certain types of equipment that require different types of power to operate. When it becomes necessary for any reason to shut a piece of equipment down, we must use specific precautions to protect our employees’ health. Therefore, it is the policy of Reynolds Asphalt & Construction Company to communicate any hazards associated with any type of power equipment to employees associated with those operations.
