Alex Joseph

Vice President, Construction 2011 Present

Alex is a 1996 Graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He started his career working for the Dallas/Ft Worth branch of Austin Bridge & Road where he worked as field engineer within their asphalt paving division. Soon after, Alex had an opportunity to step into a lead estimating role in the asphalt paving division. He was responsible for nearly $25 Million a year in estimating awards primarily in the TxDOT and municipal markets.

In 1999, he left the contractor side of the business to embark on a career as a Construction Owner’s Representative of large capital projects. During the next 7 years he would work on such notable projects as the Trinity Railway Express (heavy rail project), George Bush Turnpike Segment IV (toll roads), American Airlines Center (site infrastructure), and the 2002 Dallas ISD Bond Program (Building Construction & Renovation). Alex was also involved with the get work side of the business and participated in multiple presentations and proposals for new projects. During this time period Alex also completed a MBA degree from Texas Christian University in 2004.

Alex was recruited in 2006 by Slack & Co. Contracting Inc. in Houston, TX to help the firm scale from a small entrepreneurial venture into a mid-size managed construction firm. He served there from 2006 to 2010 as Director of Operations. With an emphasis on underground utilities (water, storm and sewer), the firm grew from $18M annual revenue to over $40M during his tenure them. Alex was responsible for all field operations P&L, contract review with signature authority, and safety. He was instrumental in establishing a new project management department, surveying and controls department, and safety policies and procedures. He also was involved on bid selection and client account development.

Mr. Joseph joined Reynolds Asphalt and Construction in 2011 as the Vice President of Construction. He serves in this capacity to help our field operations be successful in serving our clients. He is also involved in the AGC of Texas and the Dallas/Ft Worth branch of the American Subcontractors Association.


Ned D. Tankersley

Vice President, Estimating 2000 Present

With a Civil Engineering education, Mr. Ned Tankersley began his career with Southwestern Contracting Company in 1976. Primarily, Mr. Tankersley began learning the asphalt and paving business on small residential and commercial construction projects. In 1982, he was promoted to Vice-President, Estimating and remained there until the business sold out. After being recruited by Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. in 1987, Mr. Tankersley was charged with establishing their first Texas Department of Transportation projects, initially beginning with a new concrete paving operation from scratch. While working as Sinacola’s Chief Estimator, Mr. Tankersley was responsible for growing their TXDOT volume upwards of MOM annually.

In 1993, Mr. Tankersley went to work for Duininck Bros., Inc. out of Roanoke, Texas retaining his focus on heavy highway construction and TXDOT bidding. Mr. Tankersley accepted the promotion to Chief Estimator and assisted in the growth of up to 860M in annual revenue for their Texas Division. While working there, Mr. Tankersley assisted in the project management of the Ellis and Johnson County portions of Highway US 67, and the Hopkins County portion of IH-30.

Mr. Tankersley joined Reynolds Asphalt and Construction in 2000 as our Vice President of Estimating and Construction. With more than 30 years in the asphalt and concrete market, Mr. Tankersley has extensively developed his ability to read the market and cover cost items. He serves as a signing authority for all Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Co.’s business. His consistent pursuit of TXDOT projects and their bidding process has established for him a significant level of respect in all aspects of the industry. In the 2006-2007 term, Mr. Tankersley served as the AGC of Texas, Fort Worth Area Chairman.


C. Bart McKay

Chief Financial Officer, 2008Present

Mr. McKay is a 1990 graduate from the University of Texas with a degree in Finance and Real Estate. Shortly afterwards he began working for Hawk Electronics where he was promoted to Controller in 1994. Hawk Electronics is a multi-faceted company in the business of wholesale-retail distribution of automotive, home, and wireless electronics. During Mr. McKay’s time there he was afforded extensive experience in the timely billing of over 80,000 subscribers on behalf of AT&T as well as sales, installation and monitoring of over 12,000 home security systems. Mr. McKay managed the accounting department while Hawk Electronics grew from $34 million in sales in 1990 to over $150 million in sales by 1997. During this time period Mr. McKay continued his education by taking nightly accounting classes at the University of Texas at Arlington and earning his CPA certificate in 1999.

In 2004 Mr. McKay joined Harvest Supply Company as CFO. Harvest Supply is a family owned wholesale lawn and garden company which also distributes its’ own line of organic products.

Shortly after joining Harvest Supply Mr. McKay was promoted to CEO and under his leadership the company improved from a $700,000 net operating loss to a $100,000 net operating income. Also, the company obtained statewide distribution of its’ private label organic products. Mr. McKay joined Reynolds Asphalt & Construction Co. in 2008 and currently serves as CFO. His duties include account reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial statements, and review of job costing. He also coordinates the year-end audit including preparation and review of audit schedules. Mr. McKay prepares all subcontract qualification packages including our annual Texas Department of Transportation Questionnaire.

Mr. McKay is an active member of Texas Society of CPA’s, AICPA, Co-chairs FUMC annual charity golf tournament, President of Arbor Oaks Homeowner’s Association, and coaches little league baseball.
